Email is the fastest channel to set up: Lunadesk gives you a unique forwarding address, and any message sent to your support mailbox becomes a ticket.
Setup
- Go to Settings → Channels and add an Email channel.
- Lunadesk shows you a unique forwarding address (e.g.
support-acme@inbound.lunadesk.ai). - In your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, your domain host…), add a forwarding rule from your public support address (e.g.
support@yourstore.com) to that Lunadesk address. - Send yourself a test email — it should appear in the Inbox within seconds.
Replying
When an agent replies from Lunadesk, the email is sent to the customer with your support address as the visible sender, so the conversation stays on the thread the customer started.
Good to know
- Attachments are supported in both directions.
- Threading is preserved: a customer reply to an old conversation reopens the same ticket instead of creating a new one.
- You can connect several email channels (e.g.
support@andreturns@) and tell them apart with the channel badge on each ticket.
