Serve articles in several languages with per-locale translations.
Your help center can serve customers in several languages from the same site.
Setting up locales
In the help-center settings, define the default locale and the list of supported locales.
- ·Default locale — the source language of your content.
- ·Supported locales — offered to visitors in the language selector.
Translating articles
Each article has one source version (default locale) and optional translations.
Open an article and switch the locale tab to add or edit a translation — title, excerpt and body are translated per locale.
Rows sharing the same slug with different locale values are attached to the same article as translations.
What visitors see
- ·Their chosen locale — the site renders in it; articles without a translation fall back to the default locale.
- ·Search per locale — results match the language they are browsing in.
- ·Translated block texts — hero title, CTA labels… are editable per locale in the visual editor, via the locale selector in the editor's top bar.
Tips
Finish the default-locale content first, then translate the highest-traffic articles — fallback covers the rest meanwhile.
Keep slugs identical across locales. This is automatic when you translate in place or via CSV slug-grouping.
Fallback covers the rest while you translate.
