Send from your Lunadesk address

Reply to customers from your @lunadesk.ai address, with no setup at all.

Simplest Setup: noneReady immediately

This is one of four ways Lunadesk can send your email replies. To compare them side by side, see Choosing how Lunadesk sends your email replies.

Throughout this guide we'll use an example store, Acme Outdoor, whose support address is support@acmeoutdoor.com, and a customer named Sarah asking where her order is.

What it is

Lunadesk gives every workspace its own email address ending in @lunadesk.ai. With this option, your replies are sent from that address. Your company name still appears as the sender name, so your customer sees "Acme Outdoor Support" at the top of the email. If they look at the address itself, it ends in @lunadesk.ai.

When your customer replies, their answer comes straight back to Lunadesk and lands in the same ticket. There's nothing to forward and nothing to configure.

Setting it up

Select Send from your Lunadesk address and click Continue. That's it.

A good fit if

  • ✓You want to go live today and get a feel for Lunadesk before touching anything technical.
  • ✓You don't have access to your domain's DNS settings yet.
  • ✓You're running a trial or a pilot with a small group of customers.

Keep in mind

  • !Customers who look closely will see an @lunadesk.ai address rather than your own. Many teams are happy with this for their first week, then switch to sending from their own domain (DKIM).
  • !If a customer originally wrote to support@acmeoutdoor.com, your reply will come from a different address than the one they wrote to. Most customers don't notice, but some might.

Frequently asked questions

Can I switch to a different option later?
Yes. You can switch between options at any time from Settings. Switching only changes how new replies are sent. Your existing tickets, conversations and history stay exactly where they are.
Do I need a developer to set this up?
No. This option needs no setup at all.
